The South African government has become concerned about the safety of many of the cheaper lighters being imported into South Africa. They have ruled that from this year any lighter being imported must conform to certain International safety standards and that a separate license must be applied for (and paid for) for each style of lighter (brand and individual design).

This obviously takes time and as a result, although IMCO conforms to the highest European safety standards, there have been delays in our receiving the necessary licenses and we will be out of stock of certain lines for a while.

I am doing my best to ensure that this situation is rectified as soon as possible.
